Lifestyle | The Prospect Hill way of life
The Lifestyle at Prospect Hill is hard to describe as it’s not a function of the bricks and mortar or physical characteristics but something less tangible.
Certainly the location is remarkable – you will find yourself leaving the car at home a lot more than you ever thought possible. A supermarket next door – train, tram and bus all within a 2 minute walk – over 20 restaurants within a 10 minute walk. The Rivoli cinema, all the banks, churches of most denominations, doctors, chemists, gyms and hairdressers all within a short stroll.
Security is paramount to us all – perhaps more important as we get older. Prospect Hill is incredibly secure. We don’t have break- ins. Residents control building access from their own apartments. The moment you walk in the front door and it closes behind you – you feel safe and secure. Friendly faces welcome you home.
Need to change a light bulb or tap washer? Take out the garbage? Our maintenance man Bill is available to help. Expecting a delivery? Need some home help? No need to wait or worry – our resident managers Perry and Ann are there to help.
By the same token you are totally independent – no one will infringe your privacy – you won’t be confronted with over-zealous (albeit well meaning) staff pushing you to get involved in the gentle exercise classes or to make up a four for bridge. But you will be able to partake in any number of the interesting functions/classes/trips that are organised for our residents. Take a look at a typical activities schedule here.
Some describe the lifestyle at Prospect Hill as a close knit old style neighbourhood where people cared for each other and were always ready to lend a hand. A feeling of belonging.
Hard to describe – wonderful to enjoy.
